This morning, on the First Annual International Temple Mount Awareness Day, dozens of Jews and Gentiles gathered together at the foot of the Temple Mount in Jerusalem to ascend in reverence and prayer to the holy site. We were denied access by the police, who essentially caved in to Moslem incitement and violence...exactly the insidious pattern that we seek to change, and that the activities of this day were designed to call attention to.

However, the crowd remained undaunted and, in a spirit of Temple renewal and activism, gathered around the newly built Golden Menorah to hear encouraging words of Torah wisdom from Rabbi Yisrael Ariel and Rabbi Chaim Richman. The impromtu ceremony concluded with a sanctification of the New Moon of Nisan, and joyous song. We have created a momentum and we will not stop here.
