About Us

Western Life Camp has been a family-owned and operated facility since 1968, offering day and overnight bunkhouse style housing and meeting facilities to groups up to 100 people.  We have four decades’ experience running and hosting summer programs.

The camp itself was built, primarily, by the Army Corps of Engineers around 1935 and has been in continuous operation since that time.  It started out as a dude ranch, then became a boys’ camp, then a private recreational summer camp for boys and girls, until its present incarnation as a mountain retreat and conference center.
