Hey...Im Ted. I live near Santa Fe, New Mexico. Santa Fe is the oldest (not first...just oldest) capital city in the United States. Some claim that it is even the countrys oldest city (founded c1605), although residents of St. Augustine, Florida, might be the first to disagree! In any case, Santa Fe, located high in the Rocky Mountains, is the highest capital city (elevation = 7,000 feet). I think Santa Fe is the most interesting capital city in the nation. And New Mexico (which is not part of Mexico, by the way) certainly lives up to its nickname: The Land of Enchantment. You can see this if you go to the Ted Stuff page, where you can view some of the photographs Ive taken of areas near where I live, as well as learn more about me if you wish. (To read a brief description of any picture at this web site, simply place your arrow on it.)
At this site, you also may view my photos of the oldest church and oldest house in the United States, as well as of the New Mexico State Capitol building (also known as the Roundhouse). All are located along the historic Old Santa Fe Trail in Santa Fe. If youve never been to Santa Fe before, check it out sometime. Northern New Mexico is very scenic, and the cuisine is unique! Youd probably have a ball...or two !
